What is TEDxHorta?
TEDxHorta was created with the mission of giving voice to innovative and inspiring ideas with both local and global impact. The theme of this edition is “Beyond – ideas that can transform the world.” This is an invitation to explore the potential that lives within each of us, to broaden our horizons, and to transform—meaningfully and purposefully—our personal reality and the communities we build.

Filipe Fernandes – The Sea and the Whaling Heritage
Born on Pico, Filipe Fernandes has been sailing in whaleboats since he was 15 and became an officer at 26. His talk invites the audience to look at the sea and the whaling heritage with new eyes, bridging tradition and future, and reflecting on the transformative role of the younger generations.
Inês NW – Rebuilding Fractures and Creating Paths
With roots in the Azores and Porto, Inês NW lives between Portugal and Germany, working with people from all over the world. She studied Theoretical Physics, International Relations, and European Studies, and is now a mentor for multipotential individuals. In her talk, she will address the “fractures” we all carry and share a vision of what the world could be if each of us undertook that inner journey of transformation.
Beijinha – Living Beyond the “Script”
A former advertiser, designer, and illustrator, Beijinha left boardrooms behind to live a nomadic life in a campervan, in search of freedom and authenticity. He now lives in New York and finds inspiration in the mountains and the earth. His talk will be an invitation to step out of “automatic mode” and rediscover the beauty, joy, and community that exist beyond what we call “normal life.”
Noor Palma – The infinite Potential of Every Person
A human development mentor and author, Noor Palma holds a degree in Criminal Psychology and a Master’s in Forensic Investigation Sciences. She is the founder of Somos Infinitos, a project that blends science and intuition for personal and collective transformation. In her talk, she will show that each person has infinite potential, and argue that we can redesign our story and live with more truth and intention.
